Every day I sit down in my studio and paint a watercolor painting and an acrylic painting. I was in a bit of an artistic funk and needed something to give me a kick in the pants. It has worked out very well for me. I struggled to find time when I first started, but now I seem to have no trouble finding time. It has made me a much better artist and has made me better in all aspects of my art.
A watercolor paintings, unframed 6" x 4 1/5". From my daily painting series. The watercolor version of Senator. I paint a watercolor and an acrylic every day and I started using the same pose for each one. It's kinda cool to see the differences and similarities of each set.
I was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I honed my art skills by learning from my brother and sister. I always did well in art, any media I used I was comfortable with. All the way through high school, , and art school. I guess it came too easy, I didn’t take is seriously until my best friend died. I was in Cleveland, 1999, when I decided to get serious. My art has grown exponentially since then. I’ve reached a point where I’m very proud of my work.
